The run entailed going around Fountain Park 3 times.
Michael did pretty well, coming in 4th overall (under 23 minutes) and won himself a sippy cup, $15 Apple card, and a ticket to do it all again next year.
Then Michael was excited to some grape stomping. It turns out that we were looking at an old write-up of the event, plus we were suckered in by the name. If it's not a Grape Stomp anymore - maybe change the name? Maybe change it to Grape Sipping 5K since the participants did get some wine after the run. Each racer was given 5 tasting tickets which was good for a 1 oz. pour per ticket. The participants also got a runner's tote bag, event t-shirt, wine glass, and discount coupons. The wine glass can be used at local wineries for discounts.
Everyone had a good time, and $1,500 was raised for a good cause.
